SUMMARY:10th Anniversary Celebrations Rockhampton
DESCRIPTION:10th Anniversary Celebration of Wakai Waian Healing Rockhampton 104 Fitzroy Street Rockhampton 4700 \nWith immense pride and gratitude\, we are celebrating a remarkable milestone—Wakai Waian Healing’s 10th Anniversary. Our journey began with a single psychological room and a vision to support our community. It has blossomed into a vibrant organisation with over 40 dedicated staff\, three offices and many clinics across Queensland\, serving over 13 locations. \nOur focus has always been trauma-informed\, culturally centred\, and recovery-oriented psychological and counselling services\, with an emphasis on Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples in Queensland. We are proud of our ISO9001\, National Standards Mental Health Services\, and National Disability Insurance Scheme registrations. \nOur name\, ”Wakai Waian Healing\,” carries the weight of our cultural heritage\, bestowed upon me by my family in the traditional language of the Masigalgal people. In our language\, ”Wakai Waian” means ”straightening yarn”—a symbol of the guidance and connection we strive to provide to all those we serve. \nThis celebration is not just a reflection of our growth but a heartfelt thank you to our invaluable stakeholders\, consumers\, and staff. Together\, we have made significant strides in improving the well-being of Queensland’s Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. Your support has fostered a positive social impact over the past decade. \nDetails of the Celebration: \nDate:   Friday the 9th May 2025 \nTime: 1 pm \nLocation: Wakai Waian Healing\, 104 Fitzroy Street Rockhampton 4700 \nCatering provided. Please RSVP before Friday 25th April to abbiesandilands@wakai-waian.com.au \nThank you for being an integral part of our journey. \nWarm regards\, \nEd Mosby CEO and Founder Wakai Waian Healing
