I am currently completing my Master of Clinical Psychology through Central Queensland University and am undertaking my clinical placement with Wakai Waian Healing.
My journey into psychology has been shaped by a longstanding interest in mental health and early intervention. Before beginning my psychology career, I worked with young people through disability support, residential care and transitional housing programs, experiences that reinforced my passion for helping people access support during some of life’s most important developmental years.
As my clinical experience has grown, so too have my interests. While I continue to enjoy working with young people, I have also discovered a real passion for supporting adults through a range of mental health challenges. I am particularly interested in trauma, understanding how early life experiences shape wellbeing across the lifespan, and helping people develop the skills and confidence to move forward.
I chose Wakai Waian Healing because of its reputation for genuine, culturally responsive care. From my first introduction to the organisation, I was drawn to its strong values, welcoming team and commitment to working alongside Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities. I am excited to continue developing my skills while learning from experienced clinicians in an environment that embraces both cultural and clinical excellence.
