I was born and raised on Dharumbal country and am a proud Iman/Yiman woman.
Joining Wakai Waian Healing felt like the perfect opportunity to work for an organisation whose values align closely with my own. I’d heard wonderful things about the team and its commitment to supporting Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, and I’m excited to now be part of it.
Early in my career, I discovered my passion for working alongside the community rather than in mainstream settings. I wanted to work in a culturally safe environment where I could contribute to positive outcomes and support the health and wellbeing of our communities.
I’m passionate about continuing to grow both personally and professionally and look forward to learning from the experienced clinicians and colleagues around me. Wakai Waian Healing provides an environment where I can continue building my skills while contributing to work that has a genuine and lasting impact.
For me, this isn’t just a career, it’s a privilege. Being able to support our people in a meaningful way is incredibly rewarding, and I’m proud to be part of a team that is dedicated to improving the health and wellbeing of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities every day.
